Welcome to the general overview of Foot Jelly. In this video, we’ll discuss the challenges many individuals face with foot care and introduce the innovative solution that Foot Jelly offers.
As a nail technician, you’ve likely invested significantly in retailing creams, lotions, and foams. All nail techs have a favorite product line that they recommend. But how can we improve the results for all clients, especially those with limited ability to reach, see, or apply the products to their feet?
There are application devices available on Amazon that can assist your clients in self-applying creams, lotions, and foam products to their feet. These devices offer minimal pressure to rub in the foot care products.
Consider this: How many patients, clients, or individuals who visit podiatrists or nail technicians struggle to reach their feet for daily foot care? The percentage varies from practice to practice, but it can range from 20 to 50% of a medical practice’s affected individuals. This includes obese individuals of any age, clients with limited mobility from back, knee, or hip surgery, or seniors with arthritis, orthostatic hypertension, or other physical problems who could have difficulty reaching their feet for daily foot care.
With the increasing number of Americans becoming obese and undergoing permanent surgeries or dealing with medical problems, many can’t reach their feet to apply creams or provide routine foot care for themselves. According to Forbes, 4 out of 10 Americans are obese. From 1999-2000 through March 2020, U.S. obesity increased from 30.5% to 41.9%, and the prevalence of severe obesity increased from 4.7% to 9.2%. Daily foot care is critical to prevent serious consequences for diabetics, vascular patients, and neuropathic patients. This includes the daily use of creams, lotions, foams, and sprays to prevent dry plantar skin or foot fissures leading to infections that can result in amputation.
